Symone Gerren, LCSW, MPA

Symone Gerren joined the Concussion & CTE Foundation in September 2026 as Clinical Director, Patient and Family Services, bringing more than a decade of experience in behavioral health and program leadership. She leads the team behind the HelpLine and its patient and family support programs.

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Symone began her career at WellStar Health System, where she supported patients and families through crisis and helped them navigate a complex health system to find the care they needed. She most recently served as Deputy Director at Next Generation Men & Women, where she designed the programs and support systems that helped students graduate and stay connected to opportunity long after — and coached the leaders who carried that work out every day.

Symone holds a Master of Social Work in Clinical Social Work from the University of Georgia, a Master of Public Administration from Arkansas State University, and a BS in Psychology from Georgia State University.

Symone brings both clinical depth and a systems mindset to the Foundation's patient and family programs, with a focus on care that families can rely on.
